CALL TO WORSHIP

We are God’s people, gathered from many places.

We come to give thanks and to proclaim God’s steadfast love.

God’s gift of love has no end.

We receive this gift with open hearts and open hands.

We are ready to worship and to serve.

We come to sing our praises and unite our hearts in prayer.

        Let us joyfully worship God.

CALL TO CONFESSION

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (in unison)

O God, you are nearby and far off, in our every moment and in the highest heaven.  Forgive us when we would rather not remember you in the everyday moments of our lives:  when choosing you would mean putting our neighbors’ needs first; when following you would challenge our comfortable assumptions; when listening to you would change the life we have grown to love.  Forgive us, God of mercy, and love us into your reign of true peace.  Amen.

   SILENT CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

And also with you.
